Rotaract is a global organisation that empowers students and young professionals aged 18-30 to create positive change in their local communities and around the world. Rotaract provides unique opportunities that assist its members in becoming the business and professional leaders of tomorrow.

Sponsored by Rotary International, Rotaract Clubs across Australia are part of a worldwide organisation of 210,000 individuals in 9,100 clubs covering 170 countries.

Like Rotary, Rotaract is non-political and non-denominational.

Rotaract has six goals:

  1. Develop professional and leadership skills
  2. Emphasise respect for the rights of others, based on recognition of the worth of each individual
  3. Recognise the dignity and value of all useful occupations as opportunities to serve
  4. Recognise, practice and promote ethical standards as leadership qualities and vocational responsibilities
  5. Develop knowledge and understanding of the needs, problems and opportunities in the community and worldwide
  6. Provide opportunities for personal and group activities to serve the community and promote international understanding and goodwill to all people

Leadership Development
There are plenty of opportunities to put your leadership skills into practice. You can organise or participate in projects and events, chair committees, hold a position on the Board and more!

Professional Development
Rotaract offers you the chance to network, not just with Rotaractors and Rotarians in your local area, but worldwide. Business and professional support from successful Rotarians can be extremely useful, and you can get advice from Rotaractors who may have recently made decisions that you are now having to make.
Rotaract also offers you the opportunity to get practical experience in chairing meetings, communication, planning and team work.

Community Service
Rotaract gives you the opportunity to work in your local community alongside other people your age who share similar concerns. Some of the issues we have worked on in the Rotaract Club of South Perth include the environment and helping the less fortunate. If you have a particular area of interest we can find a way to incorporate it into our activities. Just let us know where your interests lie!

International Service
Rotaract offers you the chance to learn more about other cultures and help promote international understanding and goodwill. We also take part in humanitarian aid projects and have opportunities to volunteer overseas through Rotary Volunteer grants.

Good Friends and Fun!
The Rotaract Club of South Perth aims to hold at least one social event a month. We organise dinners, sporting events, movies and more! Sometimes these activities are designed to raise money, but they are also loads of fun!

Sound Good?
If this sounds of interest to you, and you are interested in joining the Rotaract Club of South Perth, please contact us and start getting involved!
